Navia Partners with Uber to Include Pre-Tax Savings for uberPOOL

Bellevue, WA (January 18, 2017) – Navia Benefit Solutions, Inc., a premiere third-party administrator, today announced an expanded partnership with Uber to allow uberPOOL as an eligible expense under the GoNavia Commuter Platform, Navia’s proprietary commuter benefits solution.  Effective immediately, Navia participants can add the Navia Benefits debit card as a source of payment under their Uber profile to pay for uberPOOL rides.

“Partnering with Uber strengthens our GoNavia platform by giving employees a viable solution to the first-mile/last-mile problem with mass transit.  This is a game changer for mass transit and we’re glad to be on the forefront.” said Darab Sarbandi, Partner at Navia. “Adding uberPOOL further diversifies the GoNavia platform and gives consumers access to an expanded mass transit network.”

This new partnership allows GoNavia participants to use pre-tax funds to pay for their uberPOOL ride costs, saving up to 40% on their commute.  GoNavia participants in over a dozen U.S. cities, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C. and throughout the State of New Jersey can take advantage of this new partnership.
